The Occupational Medicine Department at Fulton County Health Center provides quality care and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. Our program is designed to help area businesses promote a healthy workforce and return employees to their jobs as safely and quickly as possible.
Through the program, employees have full access to all professional healthcare staff and services FCHC has to offer — including coordination with Urgent Care for immediate injury treatment and seamless follow-up care.

What should I do if I'm injured at work?
Report the injury to your employer
If the injury doesn’t require immediate attention, call Occupational Medicine for an appointment
If immediate medical attention is needed, go to Urgent Care
If Urgent Care is closed or the injury is severe, go to the Emergency Department
Can my employer set up an account for ongoing services?
Yes. Please contact Client Billing at 419-330-2607 to be set up for monthly invoicing.
How does Workers' Compensation billing work?
- Injured worker gets injured & seeks treatment
- Injured worker completes appropriate BWC paperwork so claim can be reported to appropriate parties ex: employer or BWC
- Injury is reported by provider to employer, Bureau of workers compensation, or third-party administrator for employer
- BWC injury claim is then reviewed by employer and/or BWC for claim allowance
- Claim is submitted to appropriate insurance carrier once claim is in a billable status
Can FCHC come to our facility for physicals and testing?
Occupational Medicine does offer on-site visits for larger groups of people for DOT Exams, Fit Testing, Flu vaccines, and Hepatitis B vaccines. We do not offer on-site testing for drug or alcohol screenings at this time.
Do you offer DOT physicals for CDL drivers?
Yes. We offer DOT exams for CDL and CLP drivers as well as non-CDL drivers who are required to obtain or maintain a DOT medical card.
Can Occupational Medicine bill my insurance?
No. Occupational Medicine services are not billed through health insurance. Services other than Worker’s Compensation claims will be billed directly to the Employer, if an account has been set up, or paid at the time of service by check, cash, or credit card.
Is Occupational Medicine a walk-in facility?
Yes, but only for drug screen services. Any other services that Occupational Medicine offers requires an appointment.
Can I get a laceration sutured in Occupational Medicine?
No. Occupational Medicine does not stock the medical supplies, equipment, or medications necessary to perform laceration repairs or suturing procedures. Patients requiring stitches should seek treatment at Urgent Care or the Emergency Department.
What types of services can Occupational Medicine offer for BWC patients?
Our providers can remove sutures and staples, prescribe braces, splints, canes, and other durable medical equipment as medically appropriate. They can also refer patients to specialty services, including Orthopedics, Neurology, Pain Management, and Wound Care.
In addition, our providers can order diagnostic testing and treatment services such as laboratory work, X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and many other services to support patient care and recovery.
