The Laboratory at Fulton County Health Center is an accredited, full-service laboratory under the direction of a Board Certified Pathologist. Our pathologist and staff work with our medical staff to evaluate all laboratory testing in order to maintain quality and cost-effectiveness for our patients.
Laboratory tests are diagnostic tools your physician uses to confirm or rule out a suspected illness or disease, track the course of a chronic disease, or determine the success of prescribed, ongoing medical treatment. Services are provided from prenatal testing through geriatric testing, covering all age groups.

You will need to provide insurance information upon registration for physician-ordered tests. Due to the requirements of payment by both Medicare and insurance companies, some paperwork may be involved. Please come prepared to present your insurance card.

What should I bring to my lab appointment?
How long does it take to get lab results?
Most Lab testing that is done in our main lab will be completed on the same day. Cultures and other microbiology testing can take up to 5 days. Testing that we send to our reference lab can take up to 14 days, depending on the test.
Can businesses use FCHC for drug screening and alcohol testing?
Yes, drug screen and alcohol testing services are provided through the Occupational Medicine department
Which location is open on weekends?
The main lab in the hospital is open on Saturdays 8am-1pm
